How to get leaked or defamatory content removed from the internet

7 Sep 2026 · 6 min read

Whether it's a non-consensual intimate image, a defamatory review, or an impersonation account, there are legitimate routes to removal — and they work far better than panic or paying a "hacker".

Intimate images

Use StopNCII.org (adults) and NCMEC's Take It Down (if you were under 18) to hash-block images across major platforms, and each platform's non-consensual intimate imagery report flow.

Defamation & impersonation

  • Report impersonation and fake profiles/listings through the platform's dedicated forms.
  • For defamation, document everything; a legal letter is often what moves a host.
  • Request search de-indexing where eligible.

We pursue these through lawful channels only, for content you're depicted in or own — never by hacking or altering someone else's systems.

You don't have to deal with this alone.
